The French Edit Collection FAQ
We are so excited to share The French Edit Collection with you! This collection was inspired by our trip to the French Riviera and includes a core palette of tonal colorways, plus five limited speckled one-of-a-kind colorways.
Because this collection is launching while I’m on maternity leave, we planned things a little differently so you have more opportunities to shop the tonals throughout the summer. Here’s everything you need to know before ordering!
Which colorways will be restocked?
The tonal colorways from The French Edit Collection will be restocked throughout the summer.
The speckled colorways and Sock Sets will not be restocked. These were dyed ahead of time as one-of-a-kinds, and once they're gone, they're gone.
What does “In Stock” mean?
In Stock means those skeins have already been dyed and are ready to ship within 2–3 business days.
If you ONLY order in-stock yarn, your order will ship within that normal in-stock processing window.
What does “Dyed to Order” mean?
Dyed to Order means we will dye that colorway and base for you as part of our next restock.
Dyed to Order yarn will ship within approximately 2–4 weeks. We restock every two weeks and aim to have Dyed to Order yarn ready closer to the 2-week mark, but if we have already completed the current restock cycle, your order may be included in our next restock and ship closer to 4 weeks.
Why are there two options: In Stock and Dyed to Order?
We wanted to give you more flexibility to make sure you get exactly what you're looking for with the tonal palette in this collection!
If the colorway, base, and quantity you need are already available under In Stock, you can order from that option for faster shipping.
If the base or quantity you need is not available there, you can choose Dyed to Order and we will add it to our next restock.
Are all bases available?
The French Edit tonals are available on all of our superwash bases. Speckled colorways are available on select bases while supplies last. Please select your preferred base directly from the product listing.
What happens if I order in-stock yarn and Dyed to Order yarn together?
If you order in-stock yarn and Dyed to Order yarn in the same order, your entire order will ship TOGETHER once everything is complete.
For example, if you order 5 in-stock skeins of Le Melon and 3 Dyed to Order skeins of Terrace, we will hold the full order until the Terrace skeins are ready to ship.
Can my in-stock yarn ship first?
Yes, but please place your in-stock yarn and Dyed to Order yarn in separate orders.
Since we typically merge orders from the same collection and refund shipping overages over $5, please email us after ordering if you do not want your orders merged. That way, we will know to ship your in-stock order separately instead of holding everything together.
Do you combine orders and refund shipping?
Yes. For collection launches, we typically merge orders after 24 hours, and we refund shipping overages over $5. We do this to help ensure that colorways come from the same dye lot whenever possible.
If you would like separate orders to ship separately, please email us so we know not to merge them.
What if I need more than the quantity available in stock?
We recommend ordering all skeins of the same colorway and base from a single option whenever possible.
For example, if there are 3 in-stock skeins of a colorway on your preferred base, but you need 4 skeins total, we recommend ordering all 4 as Dyed to Order instead of ordering 3 In Stock and 1 Dyed to Order.
This helps ensure your skeins come from the same dye lot.
Will Dyed to Order skeins match the in-stock skeins exactly?
We always do our best to keep our colorways true to the original design and photos, but since all of our yarn is hand-dyed in small batches, slight variation between dye lots is normal and part of the beauty of hand-dyed yarn.
For the closest match, we recommend ordering the full quantity you need at once from the same dye lot whenever possible.
Are the speckled colorways available as sock sets?
Yes! There are five speckled one-of-a-kind colorways in this collection, and each one has a sock set option available while quantities last.
Because these are limited one-of-a-kinds, they will not be restocked once they sell out.
Can I order more of a speckled colorway later?
No. The speckled colorways were dyed as exclusive one-of-a-kinds before maternity my leave, so they have set quantities available and will not be restocked.
If you have your eye on one of the speckled colorways, we recommend snagging it first.
When will my order ship?
In-stock orders will ship within 2–3 business days.
Dyed to Order yarn will ship within approximately 2–4 weeks. We restock every two weeks and aim for closer to 2 weeks, but if we have already completed the current restock cycle, your order may be included in our next restock and ship closer to 4 weeks.
Orders that include both in-stock and Dyed to Order yarn will ship once the entire order is complete.
