Fisherman’s Hamlet /// Sock Set

4 Reviews

Immerse yourself in the coastal allure of island life with a sock set featuring one full skein of Fisherman's hamlet and a 20g mini of Maritime, a stunning true blue colorway that beautifully complements the speckled blues in its counterpart. The subtle variations of Fisherman's Hamlet enhance the true blue of Maritime.

Fisherman's Hamlet is amasterpiece of blues captures the essence of the seaside village of Arrecife, nestled on the island of Lanzarote in the Canaries. Inspired by the fishing boats that dot the bays across the hamlet, this colorway is a celebration of maritime charm.

Maritime features a rich, semi-solid, true blue hue, reminiscent of the endless expanse of the ocean. Each skein of Maritime is dyed in a unique way that causes some particles to break, revealing beautiful flecks of dark blue that are hardly noticeable until observed up close, adding an extra bit of depth to your projects.

My husband and I fell in love with Arrecife, and its color scheme! We learned that the people of the village paint their homes in colors according to their line of work. For example, if you are a fisherman or work in the sea, you paint your house blue. If you work in agriculture, you paint your house a shade of green!

The swatches in the photos are modified from sock patterns. Hopefully this will inspire your next sock cast on! The knit speckled swatch is based off of the Hearth Socks pattern by Dana Rae Makes. The tonal swatch with the bobbles is based off of the Pop Radio Socks pattern by Summer Lee Knits, combined with the Latvian braid. Either of these patterns would be perfect for this sock set! The crochet swatches are designed by a member of my crochet team, featuring Tunisian Crochet!
