Our Yarn Bases

We have a variety of different bases available in our shop. We have hand selected each one so that you can have the best overall experience with your making! The name before the weight of the yarn is based on the fiber content  (e.g. Soft Rose is a 85% Superwash Merino, 15% Nylon blend, whereas Rose Worsted is a 100% Superwash Merino)

FINGERING WEIGHT:

Soft Rose: (Our most popular base, and my personal favorite!)

100 grams, 437 yards, 85% Superwash Merino, 15% Nylon, 4 ply

 

Rustic Rose: (A base that is new around here yet I already know it's going to be an instant classic!)

100 grams, 437 yards, 100% Non-Superwash Merino, 4 ply

 

Plump Rose: (Amazing for socks and as the name suggests - it's really plump) 

100 grams, 400 yards, 85% Superwash Merino, 15% Nylon, 2 ply

 

Rosegold: (A yarn with *just* the right amount of sparkle)

100 grams, 437 yards, 80% Superwash Merino, 15% Nylon, 5% Gold Stellina, 4 ply

(Shows up slightly more subtle on blue colorways)

 

Fragrant Rose: (As soft as it gets with a touch of cashmere)

100 grams, 383 yards, 80% Superwash Merino, 10% Nylon, 10% Cashmere
3 ply

Say hello to the base of our dreams! It’s a superwash yarn, but I personally think it feels like a non-superwash in some respects. It’s incredibly plump, buttery soft to the touch, and to say it’s luxurious is an understatement. 

Single Rose: (Great for shawls)

LACE WEIGHT:

Rose Cloud: (Perfect for next to skin softness and it just blooms when held together with a strand of fingering weight) 

50 grams, 328 yards, 74% Baby Suri Alpaca, 26% Mulberry Silk 

Delicate Rose: (An incredibly luxurious base for adding extra warmth to your makes) 

50 grams, 459 yards, 72% Kid Mohair, 28% Mulberry Silk

 

SPORT WEIGHT:

Rose Sport: (Sport is a great in-between weight)  

100 grams, 328 yards, 100% Superwash Merino, 4 ply


DK WEIGHT:

Rose DK: (Thickness combined with a touch of nylon makes this base perfection to work with) 

100 grams, 246 yards, 85% Superwash Merino, 15% Nylon 4 ply

 

Rustic Rose DK: (A soft yet sturdy feel with a special element of lux)

100 grams, 246 yards, 100% Non-Superwash Merino, 4 ply

WORSTED/ARAN WEIGHT:

Rose Worsted: (A base that takes speckles beautifully) 

100 grams, 219 yards, 100% Superwash Merino, 4 ply

  

Rustic Rose Aran: (A NSW base that is unmatched in its stitch definition and squish factor and my new go-to for sweaters)

100 grams, 182 yards, 100% Non-Superwash Merino, 3 ply

 

BULKY WEIGHT:

Rose Bulky: (A base designed for projects that tick the box of instant gratification without compromising on quality) 

100 grams, 109 yards, 100% Superwash Merino, 2 ply

Where Our Yarn Comes From

Our yarn and most materials are carefully selected from around the world! It is sourced from one country and milled in another to ensure the utmost quality. To name a few -  Australia, Argentina, South Africa, Uruguay and Italy. The fiber in ALL bases comes from farms that follow mulesing-free practices.

Our customers frequently refer to our yarn as the softest and "squishiest" around!
