Cathedral Portal /// Sock Set
Introducing my "Cathedral Portal Sock Set" - Inspired by the intricate detailing of the Santa Cruz Cathedral in Cadiz, this sock set captures the essence of grandeur and artistic beauty!
With its stunning combination of mahogany, and chestnut, with hints of moss green, and claret red, coated with splashes of eggplant throughout, the full skein: Cathedral Portal reflects the mesmerizing façade of the Cadiz Cathedral, while the 20g mini: Baroque mirrors the massive portals (doors). Just like the intricate stone carvings and sculpted statues that adorn the exterior, this sock set adds a touch of elegance and coziness to your knitting and crochet projects.
This sock set fully embodies Baroque style, with its ornate detailing, dramatic forms, and lavish embellishments. The Cathedral in Cadiz is a prime example of this style! Its stunning façade, featuring elaborate sculptures and a mix of classical and Baroque elements, stands as a testament to the city's architectural heritage. As I stood before its majestic entrance, I marveled at the craftsmanship and attention to detail that went into creating such a magnificent structure. Grab this sock set to share in the feeling!
The swatches in the photos are modified from sock patterns. Hopefully this will inspire your next sock cast on! The knit speckled swatch is based off of the Hearth Socks pattern by Dana Rae Makes. The tonal swatch with the bobbles is based off of the Pop Radio Socks pattern by Summer Lee Knits, combined with the Latvian braid. Either of these patterns would be perfect for this sock set! The crochet swatches are designed by a member of my crochet team, featuring Tunisian Crochet!
